In this hands-on experience, you will grind matcha tea leaves with a traditional stone mill, learn the etiquette of the tea ceremony, and enjoy freshly prepared matcha in an authentic Edo-style setting. The session is guided by a local tea master and offers insight into the philosophy of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility at the heart of Japanese culture.

Experience the beauty and grace of traditional Japanese culture by wearing an authentic kimono. Our instructor will help you dress properly while explaining the meaning of each layer and accessory. Once dressed, you can stroll through the historic streets of Narai-juku and take memorable photos surrounded by Edo-period scenery. This is a wonderful opportunity to feel like a true samurai lady or gentleman for a day.
